June 21 is the first day of summer, which means now is the time to clean and restore your outdoor tile and grout. Between harsh winter and spring weather, your grout and tile have been through a lot including rain, sleet, snow, ice, mud, wind, and sun. There will even be more harsh sun and weather coming this summer, so you want to protect your outdoors just like you protect and clean the tile and grout inside your home or property.

Outdoor stucco flooring can be easily discolored due to the elements. Despite how much you clean, you may never get the color back to what it was.  What can you do? Believe it or not, Grout Shield’s color sealer can help restore the color of your outdoor stucco floor or help you change it to an entirely different color.

The color sealer is a penetrating sealer designed to revitalize and restore the desired color to your grout, but it also works to restore color on stucco flooring. Grout Shield’s color sealer is a colorant and sealer all in one, so you’re sealing your outdoor floor to help protect it from the elements. Once the color sealer has been applied it will provide superior durability to protect your surface.

The color sealer is thick and strong – all you must do is roll it on with a paint roller. It can even make cracks disappear on the floor by hiding them. You can apply more than one coat, if needed. It is super easy to apply.

How about a pool or stone walkway?

A pool’s grout lines can look like you’ve never cleaned if you aren’t using the proper grout cleaner and grout sealer. To clean the pool’s grout lines, you need to drain your pool if any grout goes beneath the water. If you only have tile surrounding the pool, you do not need to drain the pool. Make sure all your grout is dry. Next, sweep away any access debris or dirt that is on the surface of the tiles and grout. Use Grout Shield’s Grout and Tile Cleaner to clean the area. Apply the cleaner to the grout and tile with a mop and let it saturate into the grout lines for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, towel dry the area. After the grout is dry, apply Grout Shield’s clear sealer or color sealer onto the area. A grout sealer will protect your grout for longer, making it harder to get dirty. If you want to change the color of your pool, opt for the color sealer – you can choose any color you want!

With stone tile, it’s important to invest in a proper tile cleaner. Many cleaners out there contain ammonia and bleach, which will damage stone. After cleaning away the dirt with a proper grout and tile cleaner, like Grout Shield’s grout and tile cleaner, you can use a Grout Shield sealer to protect the tile and grout from future dirt and stains. Grout Shield products, like the Enhancer Seal, are safe to use on stone and slate. The Enhancer Seal can make ceramic, slate, terracotta, stone, marble or Mexican tile look vibrant and new. The sealer is extremely easy to use. Grout Shield Color Sealer can enhance the natural beauty of stone tile, as well. This grout color sealer helps bring out the tones within the stone, while protecting the stone at the same time.
